YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE TOO…

Jana Gajdová, nurse in Ostrava, has revealed to us that she fell in love. Read her interview and you will find out more…

1. Why did you choose the job of a nurse in the home environment of the client?

Since I was little, I have always been in a medical environment, I did not see any other possibility of my job. I worked as a hospital nurse for 24 years, but this job stopped being satisfying. It felt as if the clients were not people anymore, but some numbers for insurance companies, those, who have not fully healed, would go home and then after a week they were back, vexed and even more ill. There was more and more paperwork and there would be no time left for the patients. Before burning out, liberation came in the form of maternity leave. And all of a sudden, I had to think, and I had a lot of time to do so, about what will come next, how to adapt to the family and do my job at the same time – help people. It was a wonderful feeling to discover an advert on social media about a job offer at the TopHelp company. My only concern was driving a car as at that time, I was a driver “around the chimney”, as they say. But I was tempted to learn about working with clients and their family members in their home environment. The curiosity was so great, that even having no knowledge about this field and my limited driving skills did not break me. I am very excited now, the clients are much calmer in their environment, accept help with humility, and their healing process is much faster. In most cases the families do a great job, they are included in everything and receive the help with positivity. The greatest reward is a smiling, happy, and gradually healing client. Of course, there are sad stories as well, but even in those cases, the patients themselves and their families are grateful for any help in the home environment on this last journey.

2. What motivates you and charges you with positive energy, which you pass on?

Family, clients, and a great collective. I need all this to function and a nice, energetic, and ever-smiling nurse, who is trying to do her responsibilities on 100%. And I have all this. Without my family’s support, whose indulgence for phone calls and the need to leave to go to clients, when they are in need, I would not be able to make it happen. My clients are like my second family, even though the need for setting bounds is sometimes needed. But I have such fantastic clients and their families, that that has not been the case yet. Just like our job varies, the clientele does as well. Each morning, I am looking forward to go to work, I am welcomed with a smile, some are eager to chat a little. I enjoy my job and it fulfills me, and when you are supported by a great collective with great management, THERE IS NO PROBLEM.

3. With what did our company catch your interest?

When it comes to working hours – they are flexible and that suits me and my family. The colleagues are cheerful, accommodating, and all problems have a solution. I have to say the same about our management – everything has a solution. I support further education for nurses, personal evaluation, and other different benefits.

4. What would you say to those, who have read this interview?

I fell in love and it has helped me a lot. By organizing my work by myself, my confidence has increased – I believe in myself. I have been working at this company for a year and a half, traveled over 40 000km, and I have many satisfied clients. The collective is amazing, we always meet on common ground. We have joined consultations, where we inform each other about our clients, in case one of us would fall ill, so that we are all able to fill in for ourselves. I am very glad that I have found the TopHelp advert, my life has changed as well as my perception of the whole health industry. I am very happy in this company and for all, who are hesitant, I gladly recommend it, no matter if you are a future colleague or client. FALL IN LOVE too.
