Summer time in 2018 will begin to apply this weekend on the night of March 25th. The clock moves an hour forward from 2:00 to 3:00.
Do you know why time is changing?
Time shift was introduced primarily to save electricity. Thanks to the shift, daylight is available longer for a person’s normal daytime activity and therefore reduces the need to light the artificial light. The change has a positive effect on the human psyche and its biological rhythm, but the process of time shift itself manifests itself negatively. Summer time was first introduced during the First World War. Electricity was expensive and inadequate at that time, and when the sun shone even later in the evening, significant energy savings were achieved.
Ask your parents or grandparents. Perhaps they will be surprised how much they remember personally from this time. They recall and talk and spend a wonderful time together.
